We use dark roast, fine grind-espresso, to extract a strong, sweet and intense cup: notes of cocoa, licorice and toasted caramel, with a full body and creamy finish.

Ideal for preparing with an electric espresso machine or a moka/stovetop coffee maker, or even a French press if a more relaxed profile is preferred.

The key is to mix sugar with the first few drops of espresso to create the characteristic foam ("espumita"). This is the coffee that Cubans enjoy: short, strong, with a deep flavor and a touch of sweetness that softens the dark roast without losing intensity.
